Soothing the Soul with Scent: A Guide to Incense and Essential Oils for Every Mood
Hi there! I'm Aries Youko, your fortune teller and psychological counselor.
When you return home and a gentle, pleasant scent greets you, don't you feel your heart immediately start to unwind?
Since ancient times, "scent" has been used in fortune-telling and sacred rituals. It’s a special tool that reaches your subconscious mind directly.
Today, I’d like to introduce some "healing scents" perfectly suited to your current mood.
1. When you want to look deep within: Sandalwood (Byakudan)
With a nostalgic and quiet aroma similar to a temple, Sandalwood is ideal for calming the mind.
- Recommended for when your head is full from overthinking or when you want to regain your inner center.
- Burning it as incense purifies the space instantly, making it easier to enter a state of deep meditation.
2. When you want to purify and become a new self: Frankincense
Also known as "Olibanum," this scent has a refreshing quality that feels like it’s washing away emotional stagnation.
- Perfect for when you're carrying lingering foggy emotions or on the night before starting a new challenge.
- If using essential oils, try inhaling deeply. You should feel your spiritual senses becoming more acute.
3. When you want to be embraced by kindness: Geranium or Lavender
Essential oils with floral notes balance the autonomic nervous system and provide a sense of security.
- On nights when you feel like you've pushed yourself a bit too hard, try adding a drop to your bath.
- Your hardened heart will soften, preparing you for gentle, peaceful dreams.
